Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

 

Shane Hood: heard about exposed vocal through twitter. seemed like a good opportunity to expand my fan base and be heard

 

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Shane Hood I grew up mostly in Columbus Ohio I had an instant love for hip hop at a very young age i decided to become an artist when i started writing as an escape from all the bullshit around…also seems like they gotta alotta money lol…

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Shane Hood ; that is my government

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Shane Hood  i think that online sharing is a great tool for artist development ,i give my music away for free every day

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Shane Hood: be yourself and love your craft

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

 

Shane Hood of course everyone does you just gotta react quick and don’t loose focus

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

 

Shane Hood:i haven’t been on tour yet …

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Shane Hood inspiration can come from any where at any time you just gotta known how to capture it and more important express it…my creative process is pretty strenuous it starts with a concept then pretty much just goes from there one track can take months sometimes

Shane Hood: i love adelle can’t even lie ….i fux wit biebs too

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Shane Hood: id invest it all into my  music career  and building my brand

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

 

Shane Hood: i actually just linked up with an old friend who is in his third year of musical engineering school and hes hooking me up with free beats and mixing so now i guess … we just finished our first track together called been through its still in the mixing process but that will be the next one you hear

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Shane Hood:mainly through social media i don’t have much time for anything else

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

 

Shane Hood thats an easy one tupac in the horseshoe ….best rapper ever to exist in my city..no brainer

Shane Hood:i stay recording every day always grinding i got like twelve tracks done for an album…coming soon..next single called been through its a good one keep an eye out for it

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Shane Hood id have alot of free time lol

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

 

Shane Hood:first album was snoop doggy dogg doggystlye changed my life i think i still know every word to every track on that album

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
