Nathan Leaman is an original country/folk music artist. He writes his own songs and composes his own music. Nathan tells stories through his songs from personal experince to the experiences of others. Nathan is only relatively new on the music scene although has quickly developed a large international following. Nathan writes his songs from the heart and he is an original artist. Nathan has drawn wide acclaim for his original song Lost.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Persistence: My name is Nathan Leaman and I grew up in Hobart, Australia. I decided to become an artist as I wanted to share my passion for telling stories with others.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Persistence: My stage name is Persistence although it isn’t something I have really used. All the music I have published I have used my own name.. I came up with the name because it describes me as a person and I want to provide encouragement to others through my music.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Persistence: I personally believe online music sharing is the way of the future and that musicians need to adapt to the way society is going. I give some of my music away for free because I am not in the music business to make money although to bring enjoyment to others.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Persistence: My advice to others would be to make sure they enjoy what they do and to network with other artists.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Persistence I have never actually been on tour although it is something that I would love to do in the future.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Persistence: If I was given half a million dollars and a year off I would buy a house and build my own recording studio at my house
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Persistence: Now i working a new song called Lonely Hearts.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Persistence: I promote my music through Twitter and Instagram and I am thankful for the 45k followers I have through these social networks. You can find me on Twitter Instagram and Facebook.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Persistence: If I could perform anywhere I would like to perform at the Grand old Oprey and with Slim Dusty. I would like to do this as it is the home of Country music and I really respect Slim as an artist
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Persistence : If i wasn’t making music I would be playing video games and taking photos. Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Persistence: I juggle my work and music career by making time on the weekends to write new songs and create new music around spending time with my children

Persistence: Fans should look forward to a new album and more original music
