Nyne-7 is hip hop influenced r&b group from the greater Washington DC metro area. They are a all male group made up of four members that equally blend rap and r&b styles all in one group. the current members are Bryon Anthony, Damo, sincerelove, and Founding member Prynce Ryan. the group was created back in 2010 by group member Prynce Ryan. Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Nyne-7:we are from the Washington dc metro area and we all mutually loved music from our youth and we wanted to be apart of it. There are four members in the group bryon Anthony(singer),sincere love(singer),damo(rapper), and prynce ryan(rapper)

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Nyne-7: the name nyne-7 comes from what we saw to be the best era of music which was around 1997 and the mid 90s so many classics were made. Especially in rap and r&b which is why our group does both we are composed of two male singers and two male rappers.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Nyne-7: we think that online music music sharing is kinda like a gift and a curse on one hand it cuts money out of the artists pockets but on another it can lead to exposure. More people would rather listen to your music for free first to see if they like you.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Nyne-7: first and foremost never give up and do your research of this industry before you go all in

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Nyne-7: sometimes we make little slip ups but when we do we are able to bounce back pretty strong

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Nyne-7: No nothing special yet but I have a feeling this year we might have some fun times on the road

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Nyne-7:we usually try to listen to the beats and build the vibe off of that then come up with a concept and start putting the pieces to the puzzle

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Nyne-7: we are on all major artist platforms such as facebook, instagram, reverbnation, soundcloud, twitter, and bandpage under the nyne7music title. We also have music for sale on itunes, spotify, tidal, and on Microsoft groove(xbox one)

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Nyne-7:baby got back,cant touch this,some old biz markie lol

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Nyne-7: Setting up businesses to invest in and taking care of family first as it should be

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Nyne-7:we currently record at btf studios and we use protools hd and a rode/audio technica mic

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Nyne-7:honestly online is the best way to touch so many people in the shortest time like our instagram has almost 10k followers so word travels far with that as well as soundcloud

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Nyne-7:probably bone thugs,jodeci,and blackstreet because of there edgy styles and different voices

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Nyne-7:yea our debut project entitled love and hip hop due out later this summer and a solo ep from sincere love coming soon

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Nyne-7:probably just your usual 9-5

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

Nyne-7:bone thugs east 99 and r Kelly 12 play both of those albums teach u about life in different ways lol

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Nyne-7:we just stay focused knowing we have a huge goal at hand and that motivates us every night to be great
