Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Mr Timers: I grew up in Sofia, Bulgaria. I started doing music mixes back in 2012 and since then it became my passion to create music, photographs, digital art and writing. My most precious time is when I create, because that’s the time when I feel like I’m doing the most important thing in my life and that’s something like leaving a legacy and making people have a great time.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Mr Timers: Well, I always wanted to have a stage name and one day I started mixing different names of famous people. Back in 2007 my favorite pop artists were Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. That’s how Timers got cooked up – “Tim” from Timberlake and “ers” from Spears. I was like 11 or 12 years old and it sounded great back then and as the years passed by, some of my friends started calling me like that most of the time, so I just decided to keep it and use it as a stage name.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Mr Timers: I think that the easiest way to reach people out is through the online music services like YouTube, SoundCloud and etc. Right now, all my music mixes are free to download or stream and in future I’ll continue to give away some free original tracks, because I know how important is for the fan bases to feel appreciated and I think that the connection between the artist and the audience is stronger when the artist is able to act like a friend to it.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Mr Timers: Well, I’m still in my start-up base, but what I think it’s the most important thing here is that the coming up artists should create art from their souls and experience, that’s what would make them unique. The other important thing is that they should share their art, don’t be shy about it, try to get as much feedback as you can. My way of sharing is through online services like YouTube, vbox7, SoundCloud, Twitter, Instagram and etc.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Mr Timers: I usually gather songwriting inspiration from my own life experience – pain, happiness, joy, etc. The most important thing about the songwriting is that you should be completely honest with yourself. When most of the people get hurt they don’t want to think about it, feel it or do anything about it all. The thing here with me is that I go through it, creating sounds and lyrics – that’s the process of giving a soul to a painting, song or whatever kind of art you are interested in.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Mr Timers: I don’t have my own website yet. I share my music mostly in a local website – http://vbox7.com/byuser:timers95

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Mr Timers: I would get a passport and travel as much as I can, gathering inspiration from all the beautiful places that the planet Earth can offer us. Last year I was for the first time in The United States (with my first job ever) and I loved the time I spent there. Other countries that I’ve been to are Serbia, Romania, Greece and Netherlands. My dream destination is Australia.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Mr Timers: The first thing that I do when I finish a project, I play to my friends and see their reaction to it. That’s when I decide if I should put that record out or not.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Mr Timers: I’m working on some house and trap mixes, and soon enough I’ll start the work of my own sound. I’ll let you know when that project is out.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Mr Timers: I’m not a full-time musician; right now I’m second year Marketing student in New Bulgarian University so my free time is very limited.

Mr Timers: New trap & house projects for sure.
