Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Lord Raid: i grow up at santiago of chili i lived all my life here, and the decision was become when i start playing acustic guitar by a school teacher who said to me something like ”Hey, i open a music workshop, and i need some students to start it” and so i accept the invitation and theres start it all, when im graduated from high school i decide study music, i think this will be make me happy and it is something that satisfies me

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Lord Raid: it’s a short story, when i form up this project, i was thinking about the soul of my music, about me, and i choose Lord Raid because in my country Raid its called a very popular insecticide, and when some people build a small company they give the name the king of… the king of hamburgers, the kings of strawberry. etc and i was decide this name because i think is a very funny name and try to joke with this beatiful part of my culture

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Lord Raid: i think is a new way to publish and promote the music, like TV and Radio, it is a very interesting way because you can get some bucks with this, and no i never give my music for free, because i think the work must have a value, i was study a lot of years music and thats what not free, and study music in chile is very expensive and few people can do this, so i think i must have a money retribution with this

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Lord Raid: Ofcourse, This way work very fine for me, talk with other friends band with similar musical genre or stile make up a good set list of your music and talk with a pub or a bar about it is posible make a gig, another thing is a good way to make a mini festival, talking with authorities of your city, town, etc if posible take for 1 day a park or something outdoors and talk this to this to all your friends bands but always choosing bands with the same stile and genre

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Lord Raid: when i write music i take my inspiration of many songs what i listen and i think is a interesting song to inspiration, after this i chose 3 – 2 songs and i put new chords and melody, but trying to make a similar musical emotion

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Lord Raid:No at the moment, but is under construction, i was register the public domine and i talking with designer to build up the site, you can find my music at many platforms Like Spotify, deezer, rhapsody you can also find my music at Itunes and amazon

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Lord Raid: the first thing what i do, i will buy a little house and make a studio to record my music and my friends music for free and also buy a good equipment like guitars, a grand piano and many other instruments

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Lord Raid: i promote my music at reddit and similar forums, put my music at colaborative playlist at spotify also the best way was work on me it by facebook and twitter telling ”please listen my music” to all the bands and musicians i have added, and also to all my friends

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Lord Raid: Yes, at now im recording my new single, and writing my new EP and i will share it probably at early summer

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Lord Raid: studying music the most probably or working on something borring

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Lord Raid: It is simple i put my first responsabily on my study at university (music education) thats take me a lot of hours but at the night i do all of this make new songs, recording some works and other things that have to do with my music project

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

Lord Raid: Many things, i will show a new EP at early summer, and at april i will show a new single.
