I’m a 17 year old musician coming out of Atlanta , Georgia who mainly focuses on Hip Hop/Rap and a little R&B and I want to explore the Pop world as well . I got into rapping at a young age maybe 6 or 7 and ever since I saw Kanye West perform Jesus Walks at the BET awards when 4 or 5 I knew I wanted to be a musician
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Llyryk: I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia , I wanted to become an artist because being on stage performing for while people cheer gives me an adrenaline rush
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Llyryk: I had at least 10 names before I came up with Llyryk ; every new project I drop I would change my name because I would feel I outgrew it
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Llyryk: Music sharing does bother me I want to spread my music to all corners of the world but I also want to make a profit ; you feel me ?
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Llyryk: I really can’t say considering I’m 17 I’m still a start up myself
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Llyryk: I usually need a big spacious area where I can walk around and the beat being played on a stereo system
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Llyryk: I only use Soundcloud and YouTube mainly , any other site just won’t do it for me
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Llyryk: I would branch off to other endeavors like fashion or acting maybe even video game development
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Llyryk: I don’t have the best answer for that I’m still trying to figure it out myself ; I try to do it without spamming but if it comes to that I wouldn’t mind
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Llyryk: Yea I’m trying to decide on whether I should drop an EP or a mixtape but a project is coming sometime this year though
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Llyryk: I’d probably be producing or songwriting , I couldn’t see myself doing anything without music being involved
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Llyryk: I attend a night school in the city I live so I spend most of my day developing myself as an artist and producer
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Llyryk: Lots and Lots of music ; a pretty good project and major development in my skills
