Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Lil G On The Track: It all started when i was at my friends house. My friends parents had invited me over to the house to hangout. The next morning when we both woke up, my friend Kevon was on his mini laptop on this beat making software called FL Studio. I asked him how did you do that bro. He responded and said its real easy to do. I then looked at his computer screen and said that it looked complicated. I just started watching him. Later that afternoon i had went home, opened my laptop to the internet and downloaded the same beat making software Kevon had. I was eager to learn how to make beats. After i downloaded it, i opened it and said to myself that it looked complicated. Every weekend when i was at my father’s house i would always go to Kevon’s house and he would show me how to make them. Every since that day i have been making beats every since.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Lil G On The Track: I came up with the Producer name Lil G On The Track because My Name is Originally Gerald Williams. My inspiration behind the name is when i make my beats i always put my “Lil G On The Track” tag in it so that my supporters know that i produced it and it inspires me to keep making beats because all my friends always say they like them.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Lil G On The Track: feel as though music sharing gets you out there a little because when you drop links on your social media account people may share or comment there feedback on your work. It’s all about networking. I have always gave out free beats. I feel as though you have to crawl before you walk and giving away free beats can kind of get your name out there but i also am careful.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Lil G On The Track: I feel as though you just have to network. Networking is the key. Just keep pushing and striving and publish your work as much places as you can so you can have more fan base.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Lil G On The Track: songwriting process is usually when i hear a catchy beat playing. I usually have a lot of thoughts in my head as soon as i hear a beat to start my songwriting process.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Lil G On The Track: I Have Plenty of sites you can find my work.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Lil G On The Track: If i was to receive a half a million dollars i would put half into my savings so that i know that i woud have money to use later on in life and put the rest into my checkings for and a better house, car, and just invest and try to use my money wisely with my music also.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Lil G On The Track: I am mostly promoting myself on my Instagram & My Twitter Page By always dropping links and videos of me making beats on my page.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Lil G On The Track: Yes. All the free beats i gave out to people i am thinking about releasing a mixtape on Www.Datpiff.com of all the artist i gave beats to and release on that site as soon as i get all the songs sent to me.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Lil G On The Track: I would be pursuing my trade in Welding.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Lil G On The Track: I still do what i have to get done as far as school, work, and volunteer at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club. I make beats almost everytime i get home from school and the boys and girls club.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Lil G On The Track: My fans should look forward to hearing fire beats throughout this year produced by me “Lil G On The Track”.
