Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

 

 

Lachlan: Well I have always had the dream to make it big in the AFL (Aussie Rules Football), WWE or music and I’ve been living by the moto dare to dream so I thought I might as well try. I grew up in a small country town in Australia which has had people make it big in the AFL and painting industry.

 

 

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

 

 

Lachlan: I decided to just use my actual name because I couldn’t really be bothered making a fake name

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

 

 

Lachlan: I think online music sharing is great I do it on SoundCloud, yeah I give my music away for free because I figure I haven’t made it big yet so I shouldn’t have people pay for my music

 

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

 

Lachlan: Just keep looking for people you can do gigs for make the most of every opportunity and believe in yourself

 

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

 

Lachlan: I try to get inspired by things going on in my life and by other people’s music. My songwriting process normally goes grab my guitar make a tune and go with the flow

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

 

 

Lachlan: No I don’t have a website, I normally use SoundCloud, twitter and snapchat to promote my music

 

 

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

 

 

Lachlan: I’d do some traveling, share the money with my family and just enjoy the time of

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

 

 

Lachlan: I use SoundCloud because one of my friends suggested it to me I don’t really use anything else.

 

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

 

 

Lachlan: I’m currently writing a song talking about equality and also a song about getting bullied and what it feels like, hopefully these songs can make people stop and think.

 

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

 

 

Lachlan: I would be just going on with my day to day life and trying to achieve my other dreams

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

 

 

Lachlan: I really don’t have to do much juggling I just try to do the most I can and if I can’t do something when  I want to I try and reschedule

 

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

 

 

Lachlan: the two songs I mentioned before and also some cover of Ed Sheeran’s, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s songs
