Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Kwynn Reid: I was born in Northampton Mass, but i was raised and grew up in Chicopee Massachusetts, where i still live now. I’ve always been infatuated with making music, i just started taking it seriously this year though. i just love the feeling you get when you hear your favorite song for the first time, i decided that i want to try to give others that feeling.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Kwynn Reid: It’s just my name, I just like the way it sounds.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Kwynn Reid: As of right now, i give all of my music away for free. I just want my music to be heard.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Kwynn Reid : I would say utilize every possible tool such as social media and promotion sites to spread your music in any way possible. Form as many connections as possible.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Kwynn Reid:  I feel the most inspired and focused after listening to Frank Ocean. My song lyrics usually just come to me when i hear a beat that i feel a connection with. If i feel like the beat is right lyrics pour into my head.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Kwynn Reid: No, i don’t have a band website, i usually share my music with Souncloud, Twitter, and Facebook.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Kwynn Reid: I would take time to improve myself and try to reach some of my goals, the money would only speed up the process. I would definitely invest in a studio and other equipment.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Kwynn Reid : I think twitter is very a helpful tool in promoting your music. Twitter works best for me but i also use Instagram, Facebook, and sometimes Snapchat.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Kwynn Reid : I have a lot of music I want to put out that i feel is going to be better than anything I’ve put out so far. I am going to start working on a mixtape very soon.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Kwynn Reid : My life would be the same honestly, I would probably have a little more free time.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Kwynn Reid: It is a lot easier to do in the summer because I don’t have to worry about school, in the fall it will be a lot harder.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Kwynn Reid: A lot of new music, i plan to drop a mixtape before 2016 is over.
