Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

 

I heard about you guys on twitter i thought it would be great exposure for me

 

 

 

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up?

 

What made you decide to become an artist? I grew up in flatbush brooklyn i was inspired to do music because i use to always listened to my uncles sing and my parents always played old school music around the house and that made me fall in love with music

 

 

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Its my real name cut short i was in the studio recording a song one day and my former manager called me that so i ran with it i thought it sounded dope

 

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

I think its cool because it gives artist free exposure yes i do give away music free on my soundcloud jay hays

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

 

I tell all artist just keep grinding posting music on all platforms such as youtube facebook soundcloud twitter instagram and keep doing shows and if you got that banger you will get notice the people will let you know if your hot for sure if u promote yourself the right way

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances?

 

I only made a mistake one time during my career im always preparing before a show i take my craft serious so that i can always put on a good show

How do you handle that?

 

If i made a mistake the crowd with never really know because i will not show it

 

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

 

I havent toured yet but i do local talent shows in the community and in high schools

 

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

I usually get my inspiration from just being in the studio or listening to a hot beat or sometimes i just go off my emotions and thats when my music comes out the best sometimes i wake up out of my sleep 3 in the morning to write music and thats when im at my best

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

 

I Dont have any embrarrassing songs i think my choice of music is awesome

 

 

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

I would buy a house for me and my family to live in and build a professional studio to continue to work on my craft

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

 

I do not own a studio but i have a production team called green lite ent who owns a studio and thats where i usually record or i go to other professional studios

 

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

I use all social network platforms to promote my music but i love using soundcloud facebook and instagram because i can connect with people all over the world and i think thats great

 

 

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

 

I would perform in madison square garden with micheal jackson and jayz because those are the two artist who inspired me to do music micheal jackson singing and jayz rapping

 

 

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

I would be opening my own restaurant because i love to cook and make people happy

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it?

What was going through your head?

 

I never brought my album but i remember creating my first mixtape and it landed me a meeting at def jam with anr lenny Santiago

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

I just work my everyday job and when im free im writing and recording pretty easy for me cause im a hard worker very motivated and i strive for success always been that way from young

 

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
