Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Jamie Collinson: I was born in America and I moved to Wales when I was three. I have lived here for 9 years

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Jamie Collinson: it’s just my name. It dosen’t have any meaning. Its just my actual name.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Jamie Collinson: I think the first key to success it to get yourself out there and get yourself known to others and i think that letting people download your music is the best way to do it.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Jamie Collinson: don’t try too hard. If your music is good, people will notice.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Jamie Collinson: I don’t really write songs because i make EDM tracks with little or no lyrics in but when i do i try to take inspiration from current events in the news or whatever is happening in my life at that time.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Jamie Collinson: Youtube, twitter, instagram, tumblr, soundcloud

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Jamie Collinson:  i would transform my bedroom into a professional mixing and recording studio

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Jamie Collinson: get social media and advertise yourself. Not by spamming people, but if you do it subtly, people will notice.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Jamie Collinson: Im working on an album called Blurs EP and i have just finished the first song

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Jamie Collinson: trying not to go insane.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Jamie Collinson: i’m 12, I don’t really have many responsibilities but its hard to strike a balance between homework and music making.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

Jamie Collinson: My new album. I don’t really have any fans though.
