Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
J3Z: My story began in Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up was tough being in a broken family. I had to become an adult at a young age and stay away from the streets. I went through a lot and after my time in the military I decided to transition from being a Disc Jockey to a music producer. I haven’t looked back since.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
J3Z: My artist name is pronounced “JEZ”.The name comes from significant dates in my life from the day I was born to marrying my lovely wife. I used a different name while being a DJ but I wanted a new name and fresh start
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
J3Z: I fully support online music sharing as long as the artists who produced the music are credited with their talent and efforts. Giving away Music for free is a great way to get exposed into the music world.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone wasa start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
J3Z: don’t have to much pride to hit up your local bars and small venues
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
J3Z: I don’t write music much, but when I produce tracks, my ideas come out of nowhere. It could be at anytime of the day. As soon as it hits me, I hit my DAW.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
J3Z: My website is WWW.JTREZ.COM. I use Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Reverb Nation, and all my social media accounts.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
J3Z: I would donate it all to a veteran charity of my choice. I’m not a greedy guy.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
J3Z: I do most of my own promotion. But I do have help from my team. Social media is our main source of Promotion
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
J3Z: My Fist Pump Against PTSD tour. We started a tour campaign mainly for those battling PTSD. Our main focus is to provide a musical outlet for those struggling with this disorder.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
J3Z: Music would still be involved in my life one way or another.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
J3Z: I include my family in everything that I do. My wife loves EDM and I use her as a critic for my music.

J3Z:My Album “ReWind” is out now on Reverb nation and soon to be released globally through ITunes and Google play
