Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
hi exposed vocals fans em hello georgia. we grew up in yaounde the capital of cameroon.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
at the begginig we was tree singers and the J.B.L was the first letter ofour solo artist name but the third member had a problem and leave the group. but we decided to keep the J.B.L and because one of the member sing in english (me) and the other in french, we found a signification : JUST BILINGUAL haaha thats were J.B.L comes from.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why
I think this is a good way of promoting more than technology. ca allows an artist to do well his promotion, distribution, and also to listen to by another person outside of his country. we give our music for free because we want to touch the world hahaha
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
we dont know really but many I believe
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
we often find ourselves in lucas (the second member) or with a friend. our process of writing I would say is to tell a true story yesterday today … etc then it is trying toconnect each of texts that it gives with the theme of the Song
