Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Fine Boy: I grew up in a small town called Bujumbura in Burundi.I used to like singing songs of my favorite artists such as Akon, Joe Thomas, Neyo, Boys II Men, etc. I got my inspiration from the way they sing their songs. Till one day I discovered I can achieve greater things with my voice after my sister told me that I have a nice voice and I should consider doing music.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Fine Boy: I nicknamed myself Fine Boy because I get along with people very well and people trust me with their belongings even when we don’t know each other very well .

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Fine Boy: I think online sharing music is great, it makes easier to promote music and become popular as an artist . For now, I do give my music for free because I’ve just begun my career and I am not a well-known artist yet.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Fine Boy: I would advice them to work hard it is not easy, things might not go well in the beginning but not to give up on their dreams, hard work always pays off.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Fine Boy: I went through a lot in life, most of the songs I write are inspired by what I’ve experienced in my life.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Fine Boy: No,I don’t have it yet.The online platforms, I share my music, are : Facebook, Mdundo, Radioairplay , Soundcloud, Vimeo, and YouTube.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Fine Boy: I would buy a big villa for my Mom. Then after that invest in music. Have my own company and build a high quality music studio of my own and release my music videos in different parts of the world and help the less fortunate who are talented in music but can not progress due to finance.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Fine Boy: I promote them on YouTube, it works best for me because there I can share them on Facebook, and on Twitter .

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Fine Boy: I am looking forward to releasing my very first album entitled ” Holy is the Lord ” because without Him I could not make it this far.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Fine Boy: I would be a football player .

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Fine Boy: I make sure I have a perfect plan for time to divide it wisely amoung other responsibilities.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Fine Boy: They can expect for something new, a different style of music with the ability to lift ones’ soul filling them with emotions.
