Manuel Gonvalves Borrageiro (Born September 7, 1994), Better known as Eros Hathor, is a South African Artist From Forest Hill, South Of Johannesburg. Born in Empangeni(Kwa-Zulu-Natal) and raised in a small town in the Drakensburg, started his music career at a young age of 8 when his family members taught him too play the guitar. Moving too Johannesburg to persuade high school, he found himself in a dancing crew and started making beats at 14 years old on FL Studio for their choreography.  People started too know this talented  producer as Dj Cyber,constaly searching for people too work with he found himself with high school colleges recording mixtapes with Flexx de chief, Tony kid, Jnr kush, Sanelegance,Yung Swiss, Roddmann Gucci, Jay-T and more. Now currently working on his debut album (Audio Porn) discovered an organisation(Raptillian Media) for upcoming artist with partner Toni Cappucino in 2015, along side Johnie Crank and Andre Coupe.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Eros Hathor: I was born in the Zululand (haha), in a town called Empangeni and stayed in Richards Bay for a bit. I then moved to a small town in the Drakensberg. And now I’m here in Hate City (Johannesburg).

I have a very talented family, either dancing, singing or acting. My uncle, being a successful Portuguese singer, has inspired me to pursue a musical career. I went to a very talented high school (The Hill High School) where a lot of successful people made it in the industry.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Eros Hathor : Basically, I had a wack a** DJ name, DJ Cyber, and I wanted a name that could describe myself more. So I came up with two alter egos on a God level: Eros and Hathor. Eros coming from the Greek God of Love and Hathor coming from the Egyptian God of Love. Basically if they had a child it would be me (haha).

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Eros Hathor : Online sharing is the future. Most of these cats get found like that. All my s**t is free. It’s hard in Africa, nobody pays for s**t.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Eros Hathor : Find a fam, help each other. Put work and dedication. If your music is dope, someone is gonna listen to it. This music industry isn’t easy, you gotta lose some money to get some money.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Eros Hathor : Since my name is being constructed by the God of Love, I usually write about relationship issues on a day to day basis. Something that people can relate to.

I usually call Toni up to the stu (studio), throw some dope beats, figure out a melody, we sit a few minutes and write down lyrics. And that’s the idea of the song. We’ll record and save the skeleton and work through it at the pro studio during the month.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Eros Hathor : Woo! Half a million dollars? That’s an African dream (haha). Probably invest half of it, shoot a couple videos, pop bottles and turn up! I’d also buy my girl something, she deserves that!

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Eros Hathor : I got my team with me, Raptillian Media. We’re pushing our s**t on social media.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Eros Hathor : Yes, definitely! We got ”Box Office Fridays” that Raptillian Unplugged will be hosting Cyphers for upcoming artists. Then on a personal side, I got my EP: ”Audio Porn” coming out this year with a few videos, released date TBA. Yeah, that’s it for now.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Eros Hathor : I’ve always been a smart kid, I’m really good with computers. I’d probably be an IT manager.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Eros Hathor : I’m always tired AF. Its either I’m working or doing music. So I’m constantly on my grind (Jozi hustle).

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Eros Hathor : Ooh I got something for you! Me and my woes be putting work. My boy Johnnie Crank’s video blowing up. I got some international features. Toni Cappuccino got dope stuff coming up as well as Andre Coupé. I got an EP and videos due. We blowing up this Summer.
