Singer, Songwriter, and Producer. Born May 9th, 1981, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Eric Dillon discovered early his passion for singing despite his extremely young age. As the son of a church music protégé and educator his experience in entertaining and performing arts began before learning the English, language, and grammar.
Eric soon distinguished himself as a singer and songwriter of prodigious ability before he was a teenager. No mere child prodigy, Eric had a gift for vocal phrasing that is not only well beyond his years, but will be astonishing in a performer of any age. Later he than began to fall more in love with the music behind the voice, which drew him naturally to instruments. With an arsenal of gifts ranging from the piano to drums, Eric is over endowed in his own musical talents.
After graduating high school, E Dillon continued his education in Alabama where he earned his B.A. in Business Management from Talladega College while he continuing to pursue his music career.
Throughout the years the singer has matured into a dynamic entertainer, he has begun to make his mark a songwriter and producer, crafting durable rhythms that synthesized Blues, R&B, Soul, and rhythmic lyrics.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Whats Good? I’m Eric Dillon Also known As Eric Dillon. I am from Atlanta, Ga by way of Baton Rouge, La.. Since I was young, music has always influenced my life in way unexplained with words. I Started making music around the tender age of 5 but and began recording professionally around 17. Later on in life my music started to grow on me and I decided to take it more seriously. Over time my music started to take a weird direction as it wasn’t the type of music people my age and my area would accept although I got a lot of good feedback from people around my area and the internet. Which made me decided to carry on making music.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Eric Dillon: Well I’ve had a few other names in the past but since the market is flooded with a array of comical and creative names I decided to use my birth name because it was based off my actual name. Eric stands for the lone ruler so…
Exposed Vocals: Where can we listen to your music?
Eric Dillon: At the moment My Website ERICDILLONMUSIC.com is the main source of my Music online. The latest album “On My Way” is available for download through Itunes, Google play, Amazon Spotify etc. I do release new tracks via sound cloud briefly for feedback purposes. I’ve given away downloads and other gifts through the website as well. I don’t do it for the money I do it for the fans.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Eric Dillon: Have confidence in yourself and your music, don’t let people put you down over bad feedback just learn from it and improve.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Eric Dillon: When I was performing once I was getting feedback from the mic. Of course I was bood but still entertained and when the mic started to work I carried on performing.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Eric Dillon: Nope, never been on tour before.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual song writing process?
Eric Dillon: True events. Usually when I write lyrics I’m feeling depressed and just want to escape from reality so I would just get comfortable and write what’s on my mind.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Eric Dillon: Aventura and MC Magic.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Eric Dillon: I would first make a plan of how I would spend it. I would spend a lot on musical equipment to make my sound more higher quality and I will spend a lot towards the promotion side. Probably buy a few other stuff I might need and whatever is left I will save it for a rainy day.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Eric Dillon: Yeah at the moment I’m recording with a MXL microphone Pro tools and production is done with FL studio 9.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Eric Dillon: Using social media, live shows/ open mics,also word of mouth is one of the most inexpensive and most effective.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
EricDillon: I think it would have to be Atlanta and Africa because both are my home with T.I, Dangelo Prince, Big krit, Organized Noize, Outkast, Goodie mob, Mystikal DMX, Rkelly
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Eric Dillon: The next project is in the making as we speak. The title is unclear but the majority of the project is done.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Eric Dillon: I would still be an Artist just with different a medium. Painting or Sculpting
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Eric Dillon: Its rare for someone of my generation to buy albums today,but the first album I bought with my own money was Goodie M.O.B “Souls Food”.I was re-introduced to the reality of hip hop.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Eric Dillon: Its hard not to loose your sanity, I am working full-time while trying to produce engineer, record mix master and promote my music perfect as well as promote and market. Because of that I haven’t really had a normal life or career. But I know that hard work pays off so I won’t complain.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Eric Dillon: I have a new project with 16 tracks 7 of which are already complete. The release is set for fall 2016.
