Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

i mainly grew up in the Lafayette Indiana area but i have lived all over Indiana so i kind of just say i am from Indiana.
I decided to become an artist as a way to escape my reality and it has taken off ever since.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
dt13 i was tossing ideas around for names and that one really stuck out to me because it stands for destroy times thirteen. i got the thirteen because everything good in my life can always some how tie in to that number. And the inspiration was just trying to come with a name that stuck out and sounded cool.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
dt13 i thank free music should be shared more especially if you like the music. That way people who would have never heard it can now at least get the proper chance to hear it. Right now 99% of my music is free and i plan to keep it that way for a while the only time i ever charge is if someone wants me to personally make them a beat or a hook
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
dt13 Yea don’t put out anything that you may regret one day. And don’t put out anything that sounds unfinished.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

As of right now the only performing i have ever done is my rap battles and i never made a mistake.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Not yet but i anticipate that i will probably be touring within a year. And i imagine a bunch of crazy things will happen.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
dt13 i normally always sit somewhere quiet and gather my thoughts and see what topic i lead to the most and try to make a song off of that.
my inspiration is trying to make a better life for everyone i am around not just myself.

dt13 I don’t have my own website but i do have multiple social platforms which i update daily

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
dt13 i would have to say orchestra and symphony music such as Beethoven and Vivaldi
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
dt13 i would definitely hook up my family buy them a nice house and a brand new vehicle. If there was any left over i would visit New York city and buy a home studio.
i would sleep all year.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
dt13 Yes definitely i can’t say when but it will be soon.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
dt13 i find that just putting out music daily and posting that to all my social platforms works best
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
dt13 it would be in Compton and with Eazy-E because he was the first rapper i heard that influenced me.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
dt13 Yes i plan to have 100 EP’S of beats out with in a year
i also plan to have at least 20 mix tapes of my rap within a year
i am working on a clothing line
currently
i am also working on finishing a horror book that will be released in November
and a vlog channel will be up soon.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
dt13 well if i had to chose out of all my career’s and i couldn’t chose rap i would chose my clothing line i come up with really dope designs.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
dt13 The first album i ever bought was Eminem curtain call i was really happy.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
dt13 i just work harder and try to stay more focused.
