Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

DilyaB: I grew up between Detroit and Canada I spent most my childhood free time in Tilsbury. I became an artist I love to write the amazing things that pops in my head.  I love music!

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

DilyaB: DilyaB is all of me, I inspire myself the amazing joy of my children plays a big part as well.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

DilyaB: I love it. I have, for exposer as well as getting my words heard.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

DilyaB: Do not give up. Give your music or whatever it is you’re trying to get exposed to major companies, local companies even setting up your own location or venue.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

DilyaB: It’s an inner connection with self, that allows self to create amazing music. If it pops in my head instantly I write it. I still write in my notebook.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

DilyaB: No I don’t have a band nor a website.  It’s just me and my music. I use soundcloud and youtube.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

DilyaB: With 500,000 I would put away for my kids college funds. Buy an apartment building, turn it into a place where I can help people in need of a warm place to gather their thoughts as well as helping with disadvantage situations so people can get back out in life on the right path.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

DilyaB: Online platforms and networking both works well.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

DilyaB: I have a few pieces I’m working on.  Also have some crazy hooks. This next one hit real life so hard I’m sure my fans and followers will love it.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

DilyaB: (Laughing) Politics

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

DilyaB: As a single mom my family also first, I keep something close to write that amazing hook that pops in.  And when I get quiet and mom duties turn into me time. I put my all in until I like it.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

DilyaB: Who knows with me, we shall see to gather.
