Exposed Vocals Interviews Denzil Riverz
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Denzil Riverz : I grew up in North York, Don Mills area until the age of 16 then I moved to Richmond hill. I was always the quite kid growing up and usually stick to myself, Until I was 13-15 that’s when I come out of my shell and became more social and had a lot of friends going to high school. I have always had a musically interested since I was young and began getting really into it when I started going high school and could never pay attention in class because I was always thinking about new music to make besides listening in class. I had one friend that would always rap with me in his basement everyday after school, then in began being a hobby and started right a lot of lyrics, And from there and I knew I wanted to pressure music as a career.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Denzil Riverz : The name “Denzil Riverz” honestly came up last minute when I was working in the studio with my producer “GC Garlow “ who has known me since I was young.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Denzil Riverz: Online music sharing is definitely a good benefit with our generation we have an easier way to locate and sharing music. Right now I would love to give my music away for free because then I would be able to get my name known in my area and then hopefully expand from there.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Denzil Riverz ; Well I’m not the best person to give tips because I am a start up artist as well, but to the best of my knowledge is that you should always be motivated in what you do and surround yourself with people that either motivate you or have the best interest for you.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Denzil Riverz: It come from anything that happends in my life, what im doing or even something that someone else is going threw and I put it all into my music .
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Denzil Riverz: I would probably invest my money in something and then use to rest to travel somewhere like Dubaisomewhere I can get away from everything.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Denzil Riverz: I promote my music threw sound cloud and link it on all my other social media pages.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Denzil Riverz: I am working on an mixtape right now, right now I just been putting out music I just felt like but the music that I have upcoming has more thought in it and more work and effort I put into it.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Denzil Riverz: I would still be doing something in the music industry like being a producer or writing for other artist perhaps.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Denzil Riverz: It get complicated at time but I have a way of balancing it out and just trying to get through it day by day, but so far it been going good.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Denzil Riverz: Should be expecting something different and music that is more for the people and not just for myself and definitely notice the work ethic and effort being put into the music compared my previous tracks.
