Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Crossuk: I grew up in Marton FY in the 1990’s,
Hiphop was getting very big in England around that time, I think naturally I was inspired by that an what was going on, also my parents old records were very influential.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Crossuk:
I never came up with the name, my parents and brothers have called me cross from being very young, plus I live in the U.K. (Big up’s)

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Crossuk: I think online sharing is the best!
All my music is free.
I think artists should be paid more for live performances.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Crossuk: My advice is keep playing, rapping, spinning records, production, whatever it is that you do, whatever you create, make sure it’s something personal to you!
This is all that should matter.
I feel that music can be ruined by making what you think people will like, keep it real if you can!
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Crossuk: Inspiration comes anytime any place, you just better hope you’re near your equipment when it dose. I love sampling, an a lot is experimental so not much of a process or structure I’m afraid, just have fun.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Crossuk: I don’t have an official website
I mainly use soundcloud/YouTube, social media sites.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Crossuk: If I had half a million dollars an a year off… (It could be dangerous)
I would probably travel to various locations an literally samples as much culture as I can for material to use.
Try Incorporate that into the fun.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Crossuk: Twitter work well if you have the time to network a bit.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Crossuk: I have The Classic C E.P finished and uploaded (wave punks).
Got a little project with Bobby Skills aka shelfstacker, get that done soon.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Crossuk: If I wasn’t making music I would be very bored or painting something I’m sure.
It’s hard to imagine life without it.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Crossuk: not very well !
If you’re lucky enough not have many responsibilities use the time wisely.
Having time is key to being successful,
I would probably say just session as much as you can.
