Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

 

Carolinah Prun: I got an invitation from Randy on Twitter

 

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Carolinah Prun: I grew in between Mexico and the U.S., and I guess I’ve always had that thing for singing and being surrounded by music, I just love music to be honest, who doesn’t lol

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Carolinah Prun: nothing really because it’s actually my name

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Carolinah Prun: sometimes, I believe that art requires time and effort, and it’s not often appreciated as such, people are too busy working and making plans that they forget to relax and be themselves, so sometimes they forget that music has a price too, so we do share music, but some tracks we rather just to sell them either on iTunes or Amazon, especially when that song is super good and took a lot of work, musicians, and most important, time.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Carolinah Prun: well of course, we wouldn’t be who we are today if it wasn’t for all the people that gave us advice and supported our dreams right? so I guess one tip I would give is, don’t get nervous, people are weird anyways, so just relax and enjoy the music ride

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

 

Carolinah Prun: lol, yup, tons of them! I still remember once I was on stage and I fell down, when I was getting up, I looked around and a couple of people were laughing at me, so I decided to laugh as well, I fell so what haha I’m a human!

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

 

Carolinah Prun: well on my tour through the kitchen I can always find a snack… oh you mean the music tour?, sure it’s always exciting! people have always been good to us and I personally feel very grateful!

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Carolinah Prun: well, usually music instrumental always goes first, then the writing, because sometimes you can’t express yourself with words, so when the music speaks, then really all you have to do is just render in words

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Carolinah Prun: well we are not a band, but sure, we do have a page, we mostly upload tracks on reverbnation, and soundcloud, and recently on fandalism and number one music as well, and on rare occasions also on youtube

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

 

Carolinah Prun: hmm probably the whole list, lol, I don’t know, maybe my weird instrumentals on piano from youtube, but it’s up to you to decide which is the weirdest lol

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Carolinah Prun: I think I would donate money to charity, probably help people, I’m not completely sure

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

 

Carolinah Prun: well we actually are on plans of moving our little studio to a bigger place where we can place better sound, but we still don’t know exactly when we’re going to sign on it yet

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Carolinah Prun: to be honest, a lot of people are behind the social media, specially on reverbnation and twitter, so they do that, I’m just happy to have this team lol

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

 

Carolinah Prun: omg I’d love to perform at rock am ring in Germany, probably together with Korn!

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Carolinah Prun: well we do have a couple of upcoming songs this year, but it’s a surprise!

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Carolinah Prun: I’m actually a Vet, lol I know! only God knows what exactly happened there lol

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

 

Carolinah Prun: my very first album was the millennium from the Backstreet Boys and I’m proud of it so what! I was 7 or 8 years old lol (the following album was an Eminem one…)

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Carolinah Prun: well God is always in control, so that’s pretty much it

Carolinah Prun: oh a couple of new songs and probably a little show down side Mexico
