Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Well my story is simple I came up in the struggle single mother no father moms had three boys we grew up in the projects moms did what she had to to feed us . I kinda just watched my uncle (Blakk Ise) and got the love for music at an early age.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Well boog actually comes from my childhood nickname (boogie) which was given by my mother.and swells came later in my teens.I got it from my Patna Twan in fillmoe one day we was high and I used to always fight so niggas start calling me swella cause I was swelling niggas chins and faces lol.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

I think its all apart of the game man especially with things today and technology its the way.I always give away free music for my loyal fans.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Stay at it and never take no for a answer if someone tells you no find somebody who will say yes Period.keep striving.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

ALL THE TIME LOL. I just keep going fuck it lol.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Nah but that’s the goal man we starting this shit from the ground up.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

The toilet lol. I just smoke one put my earphones on and try to go in depending on how life is going I’ll write about that at the time.but its a easy process for me now after so many years of writing.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Maybe Chris brown and bryson tiller saying that I’m a street nigga but them two dudes are highly talented shit sometimes I wish I could sing frfr.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Take all my family and loved ones on a extravagant paid vacation. It don’t matter we gone blow it all lol.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Not at the moment we work great wuth what we got. The basics really nothing to fancy we still record most of our music in my producer/label mates house so yeah.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

The internet and the Streets. And they both work well in their own ways.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

New York City Times Square. It will be me mike James brown and Mac dre.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

We working on a E.P and a mix tape as we speak I’m picking out beats and stuff like that so far.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

I don’t know and that’s the scary part to why this shit gotta work cuss I don’t know what IMA do out here besides work a 9 to 5 and feed my daughter that’s it.

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

Yes I bought bow wow second album (doggy bag) lol it came out right around my birthday so my mom got it for me. man I knew that album word for word. That’s was when I knew I wanted to be a rapper also.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Man God really. My daughter is my motivation in this shit too.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

My name popping up more my face popping up more my music popping up more all that.
