As well as an actor, singer & MC, Bluehomie (name stems from his Ballad and Rap) is an MSc (in Music Processing) who released his 5th studio album, entitled Barred, in December 2015; a 23 track Hip Hop LP with 50 featured artists!

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Bluehomie: Thank you for interviewing me. For all your readers who don’t know me, I’m Bluehomie; a Greek Tottenham, London based rapper. I began writing & rapping eleven years ago in school. I quite liked been a white rapper in a black community. As well as not swearing in my lyrics, I’m renowned for writing without 4 letters of the alphabet: J, X, Z & S!

Exposed Vocals: Wow! How did you come up with that name? What was the inspiration?

Bluehomie: Blue for the Ballad, as I do a little Pop too, & Homie for the rap, the Hip Hop. It’s a name I picked when I was still quite young.

Exposed Vocals: Weren’t we all once upon a time… How would you describe yourself as an artist?

Bluehomie: Clever, meaningful but clean. You won’t find 1 ‘f’ word or any profanity in my material.

Exposed Vocals: So if you had to give new listeners a reason to check your music, what would it be?

Bluehomie: That my music tackles everyday life, and although sometimes personal, it is ambiguously written so that absolutely any listener can relate.

Exposed Vocals: What is it you love about music?

Bluehomie: Without a shadow of a doubt the ability to be able to free anything you have bottled up inside. Particularly with Hip Hop where you can get anything off your chest & cover any topic, something you can’t quite do with other genres.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather that inspiration? What is your writing process?

Bluehomie: I tend to write most of my material in strange places like trains. Sometimes a whole verse is a single trip.

Exposed Vocals: Fascinating. Do you give any of your music away for free and why?

Bluehomie: More often than not, giving music away opens the listener’s appetite and gratitude to purchase. After all, a project’s price tag doesn’t affect its true value. My last album release (which features 50 other artists) is available for free download:
