Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 BiG T tha TiTAN : I was born in Long Beach, California. My mother took my three brothers and I to my current location  Lafayette , Louisiana when I was about 5. The reason for the move was she wanted us to have a better future. California was infested with Gangs and violence. So she figured bring us some where opposite of that type scenery. So we came out here to her parents .
As far as what made me decide to an artist. I would say life. I had just came from prison. I met a young female. As time came to pass we had two daughters. Leilani and Niya. Well after niya was born tragedy struck for our family. Their mother decided she wasn’t ready and felt she hadn’t lived her life . So she left. Leaving just My self and two babies. I was both devastated and lost. I didn’t know how to do her part because all I did was work .She would be the one to change diapers , put em to bed , feed em and things of that nature. My Lil brother then moved in to help me. Which means the most to me . I was still stressing we were barely making it. Money was low. Their mom wasn’t help she would go from good mom to bad all the time. Then court for the kids . All this going on put me under pressure. I wanted to step back in the street but I couldn’t turn that direction anymore. I had two small lives depending on me . So I picked up a pen and began to write. It was an outlet . Very therapeutic. Then soon after that I stepped in a booth. That’s where it all begin. Once I put those headphones on and got behind the mic I felt it in my stomach that this was my calling.

 Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

BiG T tha TiTAN: The name BiG T was actually given to me in the street. They called me BiG T or BiG Thomas.
The “TiTAN” was an idea of a friend. When you hear the word Titan you think warrior.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

BiG T tha TiTAN: When comes to online music sharing it has its ups and downs. Ups is you can promote your self to be heard as an artist with online sharing. The downside is someone can steal your idea or music. And your losing out on money when online sharing is involved.
So far I have given music away for free. The reason to gain the faith of the listener. To really build a fan base. Fact is nobody is going buy music from an artist they haven’t heard of .

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

BiG T tha TiTAN : Utilize social media. Utilize website like Coast 2 Coast , City 2 City , and reverbnation. There are so many opportunities on there where they find you gigs or win a chance to preform. And also chance to get some radio airtime .

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

BiG T tha TiTAN : I gather song writing inspiration from life. I write every day. So if I’m in a certain mood I’ll write something that will bring that type of mood out of the listener.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

BiG T tha TiTAN: I currently do not have a website. I do use many platforms to share my music.  I use facebook facebook.com/BiGTTHATRUTH.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

BiG T tha TiTAN: If had a half a million dollars I would put that money toward investing in my music and not take the year off. I would continue to grind and grow my musical legacy even that much bigger.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

BiG T tha TiTAN: I use facebook, twitter, I.G , YouTube ,social media overall
You can pay promoters ,the best way I think is face time . Like standing on corner passing cds out or live interveiws .Gives audience a chance to put face behind the voice.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

BiG T tha TiTAN :I have alot of surprises with the features on next project. Be on the look out.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

BiG T tha TiTAN: If I wasn’t doing this I would probably be in jail are dead. Like I said music really helped me vent. Gave me an outlet to relieve and also an opportunity to provide a better life for my family. Music is saving my life. It really has grounded me .

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

BiG T tha TiTAN: They way I juggle my responsibilities goes like this God, Family, Music. To keep those in order it takes whole lot of hustle. But if you want to live like they dream you have to work while they sleep.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

BiG T tha TiTAN: For 2016 you can look forward to a whole bunch on new music. A whole bunch of collaborations. A whole Bunch of Music Videos coming this year. Looking to try to get my name out there as far as possible.
