Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

BeeWhy:i grew up in South Africa Johannesburg in a small town called Daveyton and life here is never easy because there is a lot of people but few resources, the life struggle i faced made my concience to be alive and then i started to want to have a voice so that i could meet up with others like me, and so that is when i realized that the mic was my only way of being head and so i started to put my thoughts into words that ended up falling into a rhyme.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

BeeWhy: BeeWhy is the name i got from a friend because my name was long, and i learned to understand the name, because of the brains i was i started to say that the name stands for ‘being wise’ or ‘beyond the wise’ because i was blessed with with the mind that is different from the rest.the mind i have allows me to shine bright even in the worst situations.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

BeeWhy:i think its a good thing because it gives people like me the platform to share their sound with other people so that they may gain exposure. and so that is why i share my music for free so that even the people with no money could listen to my music because it all about the massage behind the sound. their love and support is what builds me as an artist.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

BeeWhy; the only tip i could give is that as an artist u should love your craft so that even the third listener could share the same emotion when listening to your craft, and hard work is always the key to everything that you wanna achieve as a person.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

BeeWhy:my music is influenced by the pictures and stories that are in my mind,also the people serve as an inspiration to me. i combine all of this elements when i am in the mic.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

BeeWhy:i use datafilehost.com because its popular to the people and a free platform,i share my links on facebook,twitter,and google.i have an account on sound cloud called ‘BeeWhyMkhovu’ its still developing but im getting good results on it.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

BeeWhy: i would first invest on my craft by building a studio of my own so that i could record whenever  i want, after that i would by a house and take my family out of the ghetto because that is not a good place.the rest of the money would hold me until i raise another million bucks.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

BeeWhy: by sharing it online using various ways and by hustling gigs to perform for live crowed and that i what i love most, performing infrunt of my crowed and seeing the people as they react to it in a good way that pushes me a lot because the people talk about me and the show i killed by that i get offers to perform in other to other events.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

BeeWhy: im currently working on my mix-tape called ‘THE GENESIS OF THE ZOMBIE’ on this tape i will prove the versatility that i have as an artist an how i show my love to the type of craft i do.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

BeeWhy: i would be a writer because i am a person who believes in the powers of the mind,my mind is on of the elements of creations and i inspire people through the idologies that i have in my mind.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

BeeWhy:i balance my life activities in a manner that would allow me to run my things in a good manner so that one activity cannot be able to over power the other, and by applying the principle of prioritizing.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

BeeWhy: they should look forward to seeing me doing it big and making it out for them so that they could see me everyday in their TV screens.
