Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Ant: I’m from Carver Ranches, a small city in Broward County, Fl. I’ve always been an artist to myself, but I started pursuing a music career less than 2 months ago after a visit to the studio with a friend.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Ant: Ant is a nickname I grew up with, short for Anthony.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Ant: I think online music sharing allows more artist to connect, and it’s good for promoting sometimes.I don’t like giving away free music because I invest to much of myself into my music, I need to be compensated.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Ant: Just put your heart into your music.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Ant: I usually gather my inspiration from situations I deal with everyday. I just listen to a beat over and over again and think about the situation until the lyrics come to me.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Ant: You can find my single “I Like Being” ft Pauly G online via soundcloud.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Ant: I’d take care of my family, and buy myself a personal studio.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Ant: Getting out talking to people at local events and social media.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Ant: I’m thinking of releasing another single before dropping Self-Explanatory: The Mixtape.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Ant: Well I operate a small landscaping business of my own now, so I’d probably be doing that.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music?
Ant: I just do it, it’s not hard once you find your motivation.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Ant: Fans can look forward to Self-Explanatory: The Mixtape, I plan on dropping it before my 22nd birthday in August.
