Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Me and my brother have been rapping since elementary school. I grew up in Queens New York,

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

I got the name AK from my family and friends because they say I rap like a AK47

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

I like online music sharing but I feel like its hard to actually get people to listen to youre music. I usually give my music away for free to give my fans and supporters something to listen to.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Advice to others would be to keep working hard and always stay true to yourself.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

sometimes breath control used to be a problem for me on stage but now I’ve learned to control that by taking time to breath while performing.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

I get writing from my brother. I love writing and I can do it all day. sometimes I write in silence and sometimes ill write over a beat.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

I don’t have a band site but I use soundcloud and youtube to share music.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

not embarrassed of any of my music.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

I would invest some of it buy a house for my mom and keep working till I get more.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

definitely planning to upgrade studio

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

I produce and engineer myself, I have a decent mic, jbl monitors and a scarlet interface. also use the logic pro x daw. Through social media but I and discovering more ways

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) who would it be with? 

Tupac, Nas Juelz Santana.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

I Get everything done as soon as possible than I put myself into the studio for at least 9 hours a day!

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Fans should definitely look forward to a few mixtapes dropping by the time this year is over
