Exposed Vocals Interviews “AceBooneKoone”

Born (Al DeSue Jr) In 1982. To his mother a poor field hand and to his father an army shop worker. Raised in poverty on the hot “Dank” back roads of north Florida. Adversity stricken, being the last of four generations to be raised in his Grandfathers home, which ancestry dates back of a hundred years. Abandoned by his father at the age of five, his mother and older brother had only each other to survive. Having only his Grandfathers “100” year old shack to live in, with “No running water”  “No Toilet” “No Heat” or modern amenities. “AceBooneKoone” poverty burden quickly adapted to the streets and the hustlers way of life. “The Streets” became somewhat a father to him, but without guidance as a real father would give… Crime and street life began to in gulf and at the age of Sixteen, “Juvenile delinquent” “Drug Addict” and “Alcoholic” A homeless but brave “AceBooneKoone” truly found “God” and gave up drugs and the streets at that moment “Rap” became his escape, and as an artist, the world and his pain became a “Muse”

Exposed vocals: how did you hear about exposed vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

 

Ace: i receive a direct message on twitter. Exposed vocals said they could help spread the word on my music.

 

Exposed vocals: so tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Ace: i grew up in a city called tallahssee, fl. I grew up dirt poor… i mean we didn’t have anything! We didn’t even have running water! We resided in a hundred year old house built in the early1900’s by my grandfather. We didn’t have nothing and we had to do whatever it took to survive. I was influenced by alcohol and drugs from a young age. As a teenager i found myself in and out of trouble selling and using drugs. Living the street life, not really giving two thoughts if i lived or died. The steets became somewhat my father and they didn’t want to let go. Then as fate would have it i get caught with a conceald firearm and possession of cocaine. The story continues…. “bottom 2 the top” coming soon………autobiography by aceboonekoone:

 

Exposed vocals: how did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Ace: my name comes from this “og” in the game who i won’t say his name. But he would call me “ace” becase i picked up the game quick. “aceboonekoone” derived because i can be your best friend but worse “enemy”.

Exposed vocals: what do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Ace: i believe it has its place in the industry. But when it comes down to “piracy” or stealing my music i do have a problem with that. Yes i give music away all the time at my website @ http://www.aceboonekoone.com/. I do this for those who want my music. In hopes they won’t steal from me and buy…. Lol. Just joking.

Exposed vocals: since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Ace: “don’t stop, don’t quit” nobody wants success for you more than you. Make each day count for something”. Abk.

my advice would be “network” as much as possible.

 

Exposed vocals: do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

 

Ace: lol everyone makes mistakes sometimes. But the key focus is to have “fun” and “the show must go on”

 

Exposed vocals: do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

 

Ace: yes im expected to start touring shortly.

 

Exposed vocals: where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Ace: my inspiration comes from god. Also my process is “top secret”

Exposed vocals: what are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

 

Ace: probably “ice, ice baby” by vanilla ice… lol just joking… i really don’t know.

Exposed vocals: if you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Ace: i would travel the world helping those in need with it.

Exposed vocals: any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

 

Ace: yes! Im looking to build bigger and better.

Exposed vocals: how do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Ace: i have used many avenues to promote my music. Via social media and other stratigies.

Exposed vocals: if you could perform anywhere and with any artists (dead or alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

 

Ace: it would have to be with “tupac” and “biggie” anywhere

Exposed vocals: so, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Ace: i have many new projects coming, including a new album and book titled “bottom2 the top”

Exposed vocals: if you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Ace: if i wasn’t making music i would probably be a chef. Being i love to create.

Exposed vocals: do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

 

Ace: no i actually don’t. But it was some form of “rap”

Exposed vocals: how do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Ace: it’s hard to juggle life and also be a strong artist in the game. If it wasn’t for god i wouldn’t know what to do truly.

Exposed vocals: what should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

Ace: fans should deafinatly look forward to more hot new tracks… a new book and awsome new videos from my up coming album “bottom 2 da top”
