Sweet Smoke Live (Part 1) in Heidelberg, Germany – 1973
Bootlegged audio, but a surprisingly good recording for someone hand-holding a microphone in the middle of the audience, especially for 1973. This video has about five minutes from the middle of an 18 minute piece we simply called “First Jam.” It was the first piece we played at a concert and typically improvised through three or four movements. Marvin sings the lead in this piece – Rasa
This incarnation of Sweet Smoke was:
Marvin (K.) Kane – lead guitar, vocals, marimba, percussion
Andy Dershin – bass, percussion
Jay Dorfman – drums, percussion
Rick (G.) Rasa – rhythm guitar, vocals, sitar, percussion

Marty Rosenberg – percussion
Howie Rubin – engineer, financial minister
