Can I Get Paid by Redd Reddy
Justin aka Redd describes himself as a witty, charismatic Gemini with a laid back swag. Moreover, refers to himself on his tracks and in his music as ‘Reddy’. He is an upcoming rap artist haling from Detroit, Michigan. A city known for rampant violence, drugs and poverty, an environment that can either be a bad place or the worst.
Nevertheless, looking at ‘the cup half empty or half full and make it the perfect place that sets the stage for inspiring ideas and creating good rap music. “…We gamble and take chances to do what we gotta do, learning it all from street life…’ -Justin. Redd began making music in 2003 with his ‘lifetime friend’, ‘business partner and producer’, Jason aka ‘Bone’ or Ammo as he refers to himself, (stated in their bio). Together , they make a helluvah team and Together their creative minds develop good music and collaborate on various projects.

The Results… ‘ Unstoppable’ and ‘prevailing against all odds’. “Bone is a genius on the beat, I’m inspired to rap” -Redd. A bond that contributes to their unique creativity and transcends their combined ideas into perfection and the development of Their record label and brand ‘Donizm’ which stands for ‘A bossy way of life’.
The group originally consisted of five members but due to tragedy, that’s no longer the case…
The featured track entitled ‘Can I Get Paid’ is an outstanding lyrical compilation filled with metaphorical phrases that describe situational positions based on the responses a person may have to give when owed money. It is a humorous tail with verbal conversations and sly comments. Referring to ‘money’ as ‘skrilla’, ‘stacks’, ‘cash’, ‘dollars’, ‘paper’ etc. The rhyming is awesome and the entire story-line is intriguing!
During each verse you can hear the ‘hype-man’, I assume is Bone, vocalizing with ‘Woo’s’.This is a party jam for sure. The introduction is subtle and stable also continues throughout with a consistent groove. Garnished with keyboard, organ synthesized sounds, percussions and snares all perfectly manifested to produce a spectacular sound fit for club play. Also would be a good tune to dance to or even rap along with, especially the hook.
Overall, the tracks audio is clear the artist vocalizations and performance is outstanding and I’m sure that Redd and Bone will most definitely make a statement and ‘bring some competition to the game’. Look for more tight music with dope lyrics from this young artist and his crew. “The World Stay Tuned For Donizm” There’s a lot more coming where this came from and I’m sure the fans will be anxious!
