FirstHandFix – Wake Up

First Hand Fix is one of the newest and sickest bands to hail from the gutters of Chicago. Their jaw dropping, head-crushing stage presence proves that these guys are on a serious mission to eliminate anything in their path. In less than a month after their first demo hit the streets, they were voted Homegrown Pick of the Week on Rebel Radio, Chicago’s premier metal radio station. With raging lung work, set to kill guitar riffs, and a phenominal rhythm section, they’re ready to unleash their mayhem and take over the world.

Formed in August of 2000 and originally called Hollowpoint, the band was started as a side project between friends in local bands (bassist Jon and drummer Ricardo, of veteran Chicago metal band Lungbrush, and guitarist Tommy, formerly with Arista recording artist From Zero). Nick was soon unearthed from the unknown void and the line-up was finally complete. The chemistry between the four has since allowed First Hand Fix to work very well with one another. This realization has caused the band to view this project as a vehicle to pursue their goal, which is to pummel the rest of the music scene.

Since this time, First Hand Fix has worked relentlessly in a tiny basement to hone their own sound. Tireless effort and time has been put forth in order to achieve the ultimate end, which is to bring a brutal live performance along with their aggressive music. The band has evolved into one of the heaviest Chicago based bands, with loyal fans already behind them to the death. They’ve also gained respect from some of the most established and extreme metal bands in the Chicagoland area. These guys are heavy, crazy, and ready to brawl and in a little over a year, First Hand Fix is creeping up, ready to take over.
