Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

KLOW: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A combination of Nick Cannon’s Drum line, Eminem, 50 cent, Xbox, Fl studios, Pro tools, Knowledge, and Women.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

KLOW: I actually was given the name on senior trip. The week of freedom and partying after graduating high school. When I couldn’t decide a permanent producer name I chose to let my friends pick my name.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

KLOW: I think online music sharing has its pros and cons. The pros consist of utilizing the internet to cut out the necessity of finding a record label, but the cons are less sales from album work. We give away all of our music for free but also offer it for sale.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

KLOW: Practice, patience, and research.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

KLOW: It’s different every song. Sometimes I make the melody in the car or the shower and put it on paper, but sometimes I just go into the software with an empty mind and react to the sounds I create.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

KLOW: We share on soundcloud, datpiff, and reverbnation.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

KLOW: I would diversify my account by investing in a new, five-star state of the art, studio. But also invest in promotions, live venues, stocks, and bonds.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

KLOW: Direct marketing has been the best so far. I’ve been researching online who offers the best legitimate promotion, but I have yet to find a company that works consistently with my needs.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

KLOW: Yes, 2 mixtapes and one album will be releasing in 2016.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

KLOW: Making videos.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

KLOW: Plan ahead, and dedicate time where it needs to go from most important to least. Most important being eating and sleeping.Second being work, studio time, and gym. And last being things like video games.
