A Brother that’s been through the ups and downs of the streets, got my mind right and decided to put it all aside and give my all to my music. Started off making beats and went from there to put in work and learned to be much more and will not stop until I do more than just make my mark on music but to be everything I knew I could be and far more than anybody thought I would be !

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Well I was always a fan of music I love hip-hop growing up along with soul music and the oldies.I grew up in Saginaw Michigan on 21st. What had made me decide to become an artist. Was that my dad was a musician and I was influenced by his working ethics and his singing. I was like I wanted to do that.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

I came up with the name Coolfella well that’s what my dad always told me I was. So I decided why not make that my rap name. My inspiration behind it was that I was actually cool with everyone. I got along with everybody.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

I think online  music is a way of getting  yourself heard and discovered. I started  off giving  my music  away  for free just for the exposure.  But after I got better with my music. I thought  why not come out with a mixtape  and sale it for a couple  dollars. But I had to stop freestyling  all the time. But that was all I knew from my old rap group. SDo I decided to put the pen game to work. Now I’m go give the world the best of my freestyles and writtens.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

The advice I will give local bands and artists is practice and work hard for what you want to do in life. Nothing’s in life free. Also to invest in yourself. No one will invest in you like you will do yourself. Also don’t talk about it be about it. Nowadays people only believe what you doing if you showing them.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

My song writing come from listening to songs that have a meaning and I think of ways  to deliver a message. My song writing process comes from my crazy imagination.  I zone out and think of amazing things.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

If I were given  half a million dollars I wouldn’t know what to do. Well I’ll get my credit right. Get me and my family  right. Invest in a business. Donate to organizations and kids who need help. Go on a couple trips. Too much to think of.But first of all think God first he gave me this talent.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

The ways I find to promote my music. Is threw social networking. Doing shows. Driving around giving out cds and freestyling to people about who I am. Twitter been working best besides reverbnation. I’ve been  networking with so many others.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

What’s next for me is my Album. My mixtape is out on Datpiff. Com/Coolfella.  My album will be out this summer with my No.1 hit Superdupa fly by Class C

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

If I weren’t making  music as a rapper. I would  be a drummer. I played drums in High School.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

I prioritize my responsibilities and do what’s most important first. But I am music. Even  when I stop music finds me.
