Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
well i was born and raised in baltimore, md on the westside. i grew up in a 3 sibling household in baltimore city. i was interested in music as a youngsta at 9 yrs old. just looking at beavis and butthead and mtv singled out then. back then as a youngsta looking at r. kelly down low, Aailyah, nonchanlant, snoop dogg santa claus in the ghetto and so on and so forth. just artist that were the shit to me being a 4th grader. but bone thugs n harmony made me want to do this rap shit for real. just looking at first of the month on The Box back then. and that was the creation of Mista O. ya heard.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
well i had various rap names master j, belligerent, omega osirius, omega o. i changed my name to mista o when i was 23. all those other aliases came and went like the wind. mista o just caught the eye plus i’m a man, and it sound cute when hoes say hi mista o!

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why? i don’t care about online music sharing. yes i have. i gave away free hard copies of my mixtape the cassette tape vol1. it was pass around like the final call.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
i just look at videos, and movies from my childhood. and jam to songs from when i was coming up, then the juices get flowing. i be bound to come up with some dope shit. write a bar here and there. before i know it the 16 be finish.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it? good question. i would pay my car off first, buy a jeep, fuck a gang of hoes, put 6 months rent down, shoot some more videos, get bookings for shows in other states. just enjoy the fortune i got.

promotional websites and so and so forth. u seek and you shall find. and i will figure out to away to get myself heard. just word of mouth and the internet.

i just separate the 2. there business and pleasure. i just maintain the two.
