Ruciano is a Brooklyn native rap recording performing artist . He started rapping at an early age where he discovered he had a passion for rap. He began listening to instrumentals and rerecording the original artist verse to the beat. His early teenage years he began to work on perfecting his own craft even facing a lot of obstacles he still managed to keep rap as an outlook. He soon developed his own unique thought process an looked at rap with a whole other perspective and continued to perfect his craft to its most full potential. He learned the mechanics and created a “Formula” and now brings sporadic bouncy flows, multi syllable rhyming, metaphors and catchy hooks. He cites his influences being Biggie Smalls, Jay-z, AZ, Nas, Big L, DMX, Styles P, Eminem, Lil Wayne an etc. His goals are to have the hiphop world and the rap community recognize his lyrically ability to take it to another level as well as promoting the lifestyle and brand that is “4Mula” along with his fellow artist “The Chillionaires”.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
My Name is Ruciano an i grew up in brooklyn new york. An what made me want to be a rapper? It all started with my godbrother recording in his bathroom. We use to rerecord songs that where on the radio over the instrumentals rapping the original artist verse on it. We started doing that so much that eventually we started writing our own lyrics even though they were nothing to brag about right now but yea lol. as i grew older i started rapping for fun but really want pursuing it that much. Until in my late teens i landed a dramatic situation where i got shot in my leg and from there on i slowly began taking it serious an developing my own unique style.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
How i came up with it, easy Ru is short for my first name, so most of my life everyone called me Ru. As i started rapping i went by Young Ru because i was a younging at the time trying to do my thing you feel me? Then i thought about it like one day im going to have to drop the young from my name because is actuality i wont be young all my life. Now coming up with Ruciano was easy because going back to my origins im Haitian an Italian. A lot of my people know me for strictly being haitian so i kind a wanted to incoroporate the other side in my life to. So coming across some history an reading about “Lucky Luciano” an him being Italian an also a Boss i just dropped the Lu an added the Ru. An who isnt trying to be a boss one day????
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Online music sharing is actually dope to me , because you never know how far your music will go sharing it to the right people. An do i give music out for free? Yea i give my music away for free, main reason its easy exposure and lets be real a lot of people arent trying to buy your music until you become someone thats just how it is, but its also a lost. Its a gift and a curse i say. But theres ways to make money off the music to.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
MAKE GOOD MUSIC. THEY CAN DENY YOU BUT YOU CANT HIDE THE TALENT.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Its really no process really i just hear a beat that i like, i mean that im really feeling an i just let it come naturally. i usually try to think of the hook first because now a days that a key point to a lot of successful songs.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Half a mill…Im investing most of that money, cause how i look at i you can make a million dollars off half a mill if you move it right. I’d invest some of that money into a business just incase the music doesnt go as planned i still gotta live you know. I’ll definitly build a studio, one at home and one where it can a business because like i said previously i still gotta live. Besides the investments you know i’ll to make sure my loved one are tooken care of and besides that i’ll just keep on living my life you feel me??? lol
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
i find a bunch of ways, from performing to word of mouth to social media. I mean a close mouth dont get fed. Constantly performing and networking at the venues im going to or im networking through social media. The grind never stops.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Yea i got an upcoming project im currently working on with my fellow group members (The Chillionaires) called “The Chillionaires”. This project were just introducing “the chillionaires” to the world. The first project was called “The formula” and that was just us experimenting with each other and learning each others style. Now with this project is like “the formula” is made now its no more experimenting its time to put it to the test.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
i’d be somewhere working a 9-5 trying to move up from my position.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Easy, reality comes first so if your home base is messed up how can you even try to focus on anything else? You gotta take care of of yourself and home before you can put your focus into other things. PRIORTIES!
