Exposed Vocals Interviews Paul Heavy of The TERRORCÍDIO
Formed in February 2008 in West City, periphery around Brasília-DF, the TERRORCÍDIO arises in order to add, cultivate and strengthen the national metal scene, with all your music with lyrics in Portuguese, containing themes about religions, political, violence, etc.
The TERRORCÍDIO has its musical direction facing the Thrash / Death Metal with influences from great bands of the scene such as: toture Squad, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Possessed, among others in the same segment.
The group follows fighting in the underground movement, participating in events in Brasilia and throughout Brazil. In April 2016 the band released virtually their first demo, titled “Torment”, which has four tracks: “Living in Disgrace”, “Torment”, “Beliefs importunate” and the bonus track “Kick the Dead Bug”.
From the beginning, the band struggled to find a bass player, who was willing to make the commitment, and that fit the purpose and design of the profile. In 2015, after a few months conducting tests with some with some musicians, vocalist Paul Heavy, in November 2015, he decided to take the bass, making official training as a power trio.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where you grew up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Paul Heavy: First I would like to thank you for the opportunity to grant this interview and talk a little about our history.
Well, I was born in Paracatu the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Since I was little I already liked to hear some classics like: AC/DC, Iron maiden, Sepultura and so on.
In 2000 I and my family moved to West City in the state of Goias.
And eight years later in 2008 me and my classmate Wesley decided to form a band of thrash / death metal called “Tormmento”, where we had strong influences from bands like Torture Squad, cannibal corpse, SLAYER and krisuin. After one year decided to change the band name to “TERRORCIDIO”.
Exposed Vocals: How do you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Paul Heavy: The name “Terrorcidio” came up we when needed to alter the name of the band.
The word “Terrocidio” is the union of the “Terror” and “homocide” and mean the death of the terror.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about sharing music online? You never give your music for free? Because?
Paul Heavy: In our case we recently launched our first demo which contains four tracks and we provide it for free online.
I particularly see the Internet as a better way of an artist disclose their independent work and gives the opportunity to everyone show their work and anyone appreciate.
Exposed Vocals: Once everyone was a start-up once, you can give any smaller bands or local artists looking to get shows and AirPlay some tips?
Paul Heavy: we already have been 8 years in the battle, and all these years we haven’t stopped working on our compositions and our songs are always conducting a strategic planning with respect to all new albuns.
I think the determination and persistence is extremely important for you to do a great job.
Sharing the work in social networks is a exelente way you show people your purpose.
Our daily routine includes everything that I mentioned and this is contributing every day to our growth.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually meet up inspiration? What is your usual composition process?
Paul Heavy: Usually who composes the music is me.
I seek the reality of our country for inspirations and ours thematic are about urban violence, religion and politics.

Exposed Vocals: If you had half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How do you spend it?
Paulo heavy: I would travel and get to know the world and use the opportunity to invest more in the band projects.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Paul Heavy: Currently we are promoting ourselves and our music by youtube and for our page on facebook.
Exposed Vocals: So what’s next? Any new future projects that you want to talk?
Paulo Heavy: Well, we are already writing to our first album which will be released in the second semester 2017 and our fans can prepare the ears, because that will be brutal lol.
Exposed Vocals: If you were not making music, what would you be doing?
Paulo Heavy: I think I would be working in the area of technology in which I have a degree.
Exposed Vocals: How do you handle the rest of their responsibilities when trying to get ahead in your life music?
Paul Heavy: I always try to divide the time because I’m married and have a daughter and I always try to manage the time, but being very difficult.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Paul Heavy: Well, so in August we will be with our full merchandising of our last demo available for them and they just have to check the news our social networks, that every week we are posting.
