Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Richard:

I started in Italy as bass player. I was born in a little community where I started to play with a little local band in the church where I used to live at that time.

I decided to play some instrument because my friends already did play some stuff, so i decided to start with the easiest one, bass guitar ( that was my meaning at that time…).

 

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Richard:

I did play with many bands (Fingernails, Hammer especially) in these years and I hope to do more in the future.

Hammer is my own band, I’m the singer and bass player, also songwriter.

why that name? ‘couse it STRIKES!

 

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Richard:

It is the best way to start and to be known.

Music is Art, every Arts is for everybody in the whole world, I don’t write song for me only.

and if money comes…they are welcome.

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

 

Richard:

It needs to play, make records and don’t sell yourself for free at anytime.

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Richard:

Fortunately I can write songs everywhere in every moment with my guitar or at the piano. I get my inspiration from normal things of life or news from the world. I’m in the south of Europe, many things happen here.

Richard:

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Richard:

Half million of $ or € or £ are not enough if I have a year off, I said.

 

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Richard:

I work especially on the web, I also travel around Europe and over to work with other people. you have to be a doer.

 

 

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Richard:

I’m still working on a project called “Big Boogie Band”, the first album from 2013 was written by me and produced by Larry Dunn from Earth, Wind and Fire in USA, featuring some European act like Fabio Liberatori, Claudio Corvino and Eric Daniels and I almost there with a new one (a double album).

I also start to write new songs for my new project, I think one man band project, called HOT SPACE, you’ll see.

 

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Richard:

This is a difficult question…

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Richard:

I think people have enough strength to do everything they want in life.

especially now days.

 

 

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

Richard:

I’ll be on the road in 2017…
