Inyambo Situmbeko “Blake Yall” (Born Nov 10 1992) is a Zambian recording artist, performer, dancer, actor, song writer and model. He taught himself to sing and dance at a young age.
He involved himself in various talent shows, that enabled him to groom his skills in stage performance.
In 2013, He met Lukundo Siwale ”Superman” who introduced him to a new platform, that handed him an opportunity to work with “Krytic So’ Good Rap Entertainer” on his album “Best before Forever” and “Marvel So’ Good” on his mixtape ” Grown n Heavy one” in the region of lusaka (Zambia)..
In the beginning of 2016, he signed to sovereign sky constellation and released his first single(Wonderful) to his upcoming e.p (Transcendance).

 

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Blake Yall: I grew up in Livingstone, Zambia (Southern Africa). Completed high school there… When growing up i listened to a lot of Michael Jackson, Usher, Ne-yo,

Young Lloyd, Chris brown, all the greats and i always tried to imitate them … When i was a teenager, I’d sing at competitions just to get myself exposed,

which led me to wanting to be an artist and continue doing what i love to do…

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Blake Yall: Blake is my other name… Yall came about cause in every song i say blake yall! right at the beginning, and it sounds cool, so i considered making it my artist name.

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Blake Yall: I think its awesome, its a great means of getting exposure, at the moment i’m giving my music for free till i get a bigger fan base.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Blake Yall: Just keep having faith in what you do, put hard work in it to, and pray a lot.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Blake Yall: I Listen to a lot of august alsina, chris brown and trevor jackson, their music inspires my writing, and i practice a lot, it helps with building your speed and poetry.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Blake Yall: The studio website (Sovereighn sky constellation) is going to be up and running soon, otherwise at the moment i rely on Online promoters and just sharing the music where i can, and my team..

 

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Blake Yall: Well, i would buy my parents houses, buy myself a big house too, i would invest the money in a lot of things, and travel the world.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Blake Yall: Well, I guess the best way to promote your music is through the media, get the music to radio stations, clubs, events, T.v, just every where.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Blake Yall: Sure, i got a music video coming soon, for my 1st single off my upcoming e.p (transcendance). The name of the song is Wonderful ft Mic burner..

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Blake Yall: I’d be studying.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Blake Yall: I just try to balance everything. Its all about dedication and hard work.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Blake Yall: A lot. All i can say is, you’ll see.
