Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Finness-I’m Bryan Finneran. I grew up in Hanover Ma, in a middle class family. I started rapping in 6th grade when I was about 12 years old and never gave up my dream to become a rapper when a lot of people including my older brother and friends doubted my skill. I fell in love with hip hop and I’ve never stopped listening to it and started writing my own music in 8th grade. I started officially recording and making music videos my junior yea r of high school. I decided I wanted to become an artist because it was a way to express my emotions and attract positive attention towards me.

 

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Finness-I came up with the name Finness because I have a lot of finness in my style and my last name is Finneran. During high school people would call me Young Finness. My inspiration behind the name Finness is to never give up and failure is not an option.

 

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Finness-I agree with online music sharing because I want to share my music for free and get it spreading virally. I always give my music away for free it helps to just toss it out there and give people the opportunity to listen to it without any hassles.

 

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Finness-I don’t have any tips just go out there and kill it and never give up on your dream.

 

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Finness- I usually gather inspiration for writing my songs by smoking a nice j and listening to music that inspires me. My writing process is bust out the nugs, roll them shits up, put on your favorite song, and then it all comes to your head.

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Finness- If I was given half a million dollars and a year off I would buy a personal studio and a 100 lbs of that loud and just kick it in the studio making some new shit. Feel me?

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Finness-I promote my music on my social media accounts.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Finness-If I wasn’t making music I would hope to be successfully serving in the army.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Finness- My main responsibility is to write music and put it out.
