Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Viviana Carrizo: Hi guys! Well, I was born in USA, Los Angeles, California, but I have lived all my life in Chile in the end of the world! I’ve always loved singing since childhood, and this love for singing grew in my school years so far, it’s my therapy and escape. During my teen years I went to an art school, besides regular classes, I had the option to choose between art and music, finally, I stayed with music, but equally I scurried to art classes painting and drawing. In my music classes I studied classical guitar, piano and also I was part of the school choir. We turned around the country and our repertoire ranging from pop to metal.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Viviana Carrizo: It’s my real name, I have no artistic name.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Viviana Carrizo: I think is cool, music is the way many of us can express ourselves in situations that occur in life, or just disconnect for a while of the world,

Viviana Carrizo: Many people look for music to escape, to dream, to feel more deeply, would not make sense not to show, at least for me, the fact that music sharing think it’s great!
ow if free it is up to each artist. Each chooses according to personal reasons. I think possibly my songs would, for free, but the bands that I am, I don’t take such decisions.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Viviana Carrizo: I feel very identified, I think it’s just not let you win, go ahead, do everything in your power to show your work. If you’re in a band, always be together, to work together for a common goal, and to use all platforms offered by internet to promote themselves, channels youtube, soundcloud, instagram, Facebook, myspace, everything they believe necessary . It is possible to publicize your work even without enough resources or big connections in the music industry and most importantly, always do what makes them happy but would not make much sense.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Viviana Carrizo: I have sung songs have been written by the leaders of the bands that have formed part. I have also contributed letters, bases and vocal harmonies. These days I’m working on my own musical project called A Better World ?, so I’m starting to write my own songs !! And that makes me very happy !!!!
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Viviana Carrizo: I have links to the bands I’ve been in recent years. But right now I’m working with an amazing band !! Soon I will spread the link to hear our work. For while I leave you the link where I spread my work.
I don’t have Facebook for the moment, only my personal account, but in the future I hope to have my own facebook as an artist.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Viviana Carrizo: Wow !! I think that would keep it in the bank to give some interest, pay debts that could have, would also help some animal shelters or people who help them independently. With the rest of the money would still be singing and rehearsing, and fully enjoy music full time!
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Viviana Carrizo: Like many musicians of my country, I financed with my own resources. Internet and social networks have worked very well for spreading my music and the music of the bands I’ve been.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Viviana Carrizo: I’m currently working on a few projects, both personal (solo) and with some bands. But what most occupies my time these days, and has me very excited, this is my new project with the new band that I am, I will soon be able to give more details.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Viviana Carrizo: I would have liked to venture into wrestling LOL, but for that you have to start very early, be disciplined and must have a health according to the sport. I also really like the performance and also am a graphic designer by profession.
Despite all this, the music remains my main passion in life.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Viviana Carrizo: Well, I have very little time in the day so I sleep very little or nothing, I’m very hyperkinetic. In general, in my daily life I divided between my conventional work and time that I dedicate to music, sometimes I have trouble seeing my friends and even for rehearsals with my band. Some days it’s crazy !!
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Viviana Carrizo: I don’t think I have fans! hahaha, but the public is going to my presentations or following me on my social networks, I hope to always give them my best. This year I will be entirely dedicated to this new band and I hope they enjoy it, I also hope you like the other projects that I will do.
