Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I grew up somewhere at Gboko a district Of Benue State Nigeria somewhere in West Africa. Music for me didn’t start as a fantasy, It was a calling and a vision i had from Almighty God himself on 03/09/2001 To teach the World his word through music. That’s how it all  started, And since then, is  been no going back.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Well, my Stage name Phil Math is taken from my full name, Philip Sunday Math.There’s actually a divine inspiration from Almighty God himself who asked me to stay true to myself and be the real me. And i choose the name myself.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

What i think about online music sharing is, It is a great way to share music to a more global audience who access music on the go, using the power of internet. And yes, i have share my music online for free.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

The advice i can give to a local artist is, You can actually start with the use of internet and grow to a bigger brand. Don’t take internet for granted.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

I write songs base on the inspiration i get from Almighty God, through what’s happening in our world today.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Yes, my official website is under construction, It will be ready in matter of weeks. And i will keep you updated. But for now, Am using Social media sites like youtube.com,numberonemusic.com reverbnation.comm facebook.com and twitter.com etc to reach people with my music.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

If i’m giving half a Million Dollar. My Music career will be transformed for life. I will start a heavy online and offline music promotion and campaign for my music. Which is a great investment for my career.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

I find it more easy to promote  my music  on the internet, Because on internet, an artist can actually start a music campaign for free and grow from there.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Yes, Am working on my first E.P Album, which am hoping it will be dropping before summer’s over. And am building an Independent record company call Final Age Records.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

If i wasn’t making music. I will commit my Life in computer technology.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Yeah, i just work hard and God is been helpful.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Fans you should first of all expect the release of my first E.P album, Then the full Universal presence of my Indie record company, Final Age Records, The Last Forerunner.
