Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Elias: Well, I grew up in Athens in Greece. Art was always a mystery for me and I guess it will always be. I love mysteries, they intrigue me, so as long as art was a mystery I wanted to be a part of it. So I had to do something to enter in the world of art. I think, it all started with listening to music, I was listening music so much and a lot of different types and then I just thought that I don’t want just to listen music, I wanna make my music, the one that will represent me. So music was what was gonna put me in. I started with the piano which I was really good at and as soon as I was supplied with the necessary knowledge above and beyond, I started writing my own things and that’s how it all started.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Elias: My name is just my name, nothing really special about it.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Elias: I think online music sharing is a very good way for anyone who wants to share his music all around the world, for people to see it, hear it, and decide if they like it or not. I always give my music away for free for a start in order to give people the potential to hear it, and see what I do.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Elias: I wanna say to the start-ups and to all those who want to serve art

– Don’t do art for the money, do art because it’s something that comes from your inside

– Whatever you do, put your all into it

– Do what you love and love what you do

– And don’t ever let anybody tell you that you can’t do it. Everything you put in your mind you can do it! Belive and love yourselves!

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Elias: I write music whenever I feel I wanna write. Inspiration is everywhere and you don’t seek to find it, it just comes, I think. You may look at the sky for example and get inspired, or you may smell something and get inspired, it’s just everywhere. As for the process I don’t really have a certain one, I either sit on the piano and improvise and hold what I liked from that or I have a melody in mind which I illustrate then on the keys and then development is all about inspiration I think.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Elias: If I was a give a million dollars I think I would buy people I love and me things that they and I want and then I would invest the rest to my music in order to boost my career.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Elias: I’m always searching for new ways to promote my music and I’m open to suggestions. I also expose myself, a lot like I enter into a lot of competitions, concerts, school celebrations etc and try to give people ways to see my music and hear it.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Elias: Actually, I’m making now my book which includes 12 piano pieces of my own, sentimental and ambient and I’m really looking forward to publish it. Hope y’all like it!

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Elias: Except from music I really love psychology, so I believe I would become a psychologist.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Elias: I juggle with all my responsibilities and I try to be good at all  and don’t pass up any of them like studding.
