Mondo Perfetto is a music producer who lives in St. Louis, MO. where Metro Boomin, a very well known record producer, is from. He has an instrumental album on iTunes called “Strumentali Americano” & a beat tape on Datpiff.com named “Lady Sabotage”. He is also working on a new beat tape that’s releasing late May. The St. Louis producer says, “I’ve been busy with interviews and I recently did a photoshoot for Coast2Coast mag”.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Mondo Perfetto: I grew up in St. Louis. Well a few years ago, 2014 to be exact, I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and I was forced to change my whole life around and I wasn’t able to do anything, so one day I was scrolling down Instagram and saw a guy I went to school with and he was making beats. Immediately it clicked in my head that this is what I want to do.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Mondo Perfetto: I love the European language. The culture, the women. Mondo Perfetto is Italian for “Perfect World”, and I’m not deep or anything, but I’m convinced that the world we live in is, in fact, perfect. Everything works perfectly. Thus, my name, Mondo Perfetto.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free?

Mondo Perfetto: It’s epic, and easy. I normally don’t give away beats for free, but I’m always willing to work with you and we make something happen.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during beat-making? How do you handle that?

Mondo Perfetto: Of course. All the time. I handle it by not throwing my laptop across the room ha ha.. Nah, but I understand everyone makes mistakes so it’s no big deal. I just fix it.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather producing inspiration? What is your usual process?

Mondo Perfetto: Sitting at the computer, really. That’s all I need. My process is turn on my laptop, turning on my speakers, then opening up FL Studios.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a website?

Mondo Perfetto: Uhh, yeah! Indigosounds.net. You can purchase beats off that, but email me for some stuff I won’t get a chance to upload right away and exclusive prices.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Mondo Perfetto: Ha ha, well I would say nothing honestly. I have songs like Jessica Lea Mayfield-Our Hearts Are Wrong and Easy Access Orchestra-Las Chicas, so I don’t think I have any embarrassing songs on my mp3 ha..

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Mondo Perfetto: Making beats. What else?! (Laughing)

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Mondo Perfetto: I just bought some sick speakers to edit with. They’re really affordable, too. They’re black with green accents. You’d love them ha.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Mondo Perfetto: I like using big name platforms, like Datpiff. Not that you have to, but that’s just what I prefer.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with?

Mondo Perfetto: In London with either Metro or Wiz.. That’s a dream come true.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Mondo Perfetto: Uh, yeah. Ferrar i. It’s a beat tape. It’ll be on Datpiff. Free download, so be sure to get it. We’re still working on a release date.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Mondo Perfetto: Nothing.. Like I said, when I was diagnosed with schizophrenia my entire life was put on hold, so I found this and it gave me purpose. It’s been life every since.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Mondo Perfetto: It’s easy! Time management, you know?
