Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I grew up in the Bronx NY / Harlem NY I grew up I had a talent for the music I came up with the word aura it was very catchy so I started saying TeamAura for the family and friends that had super talent around me we started with freestyles and videos on YouTube.. Over the years everyone developed there own movements so I went from aka BaseAura to BaseAuraGammi soloing out with The AuraGammi Movement with my cousin RubeAura with 5 mixtapes on Datpiff and mix connect and over 2 million plays on SoundCloud Also #2 Ranked on the ReverbNation Hip Hop charts for NY on March 9 2016 signed a distribution deal with FreewayRickRossMusic Group / Universal Music Group Records Distribution to get my music on a bigger platform

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Base AuraGammi use to be BaseAura I add Gammi because it means folding paper so I fold money The word Aura is spritual it involves with your inner self

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

I think music sharing online can be both good and bad if your share your music and don’t own your rights to it people can steal your music and ideas especially if they have to money to do it.. On the flip side if you can promote your music right you can gain fans and build your brand and when you give some music away fans respect it and want to support u more for giving back and caring

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Keep practicing put out good music and stay consistent and invest in yourself before you think others will

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Yes I comes with fun and practice and you naturally can correct it our still make it look good practice makes perfect

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

I have done alot of shows over the years but no tours until this summer.. But at performances the love and support and people knowing your music and knowing who u are inspires you

ALL Of My Song WRITING Are Real LIFE Experiences WHETHER IT’S Lived OR SOMETHING I Saw On Roads Trip Being ON A Plane ,bus,Car

Baseauragammimusic.xyz I also use soundcloud,reverbnation, Facebook, Twitter, Blog sites Etc.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

none my songs are embarrassing because it’s real I don’t live in a fantasy world meaning whatever I went thru living this life makes me a better person and I share it thru my music but not all my music is fir everyone but I have songs for everyone I don’t stick to jus gangster or hard core street tracks I also go Spanish and I do club pop R&B it doesn’t matter

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

I would invest in my career and keep working with a lay off some people get lazy staying busy and ready you have keep income coming in and make the right investments or that Half a Million Turns into 0 quickly

On April 30th 2016 My first of 3 singles drop “Whoodie-whoo is my first single being released with Unversial Music Group Distribution it has over 1 millions plays on SoundCloud Then May 1 another Single “The Late Night ” and the end of May “Don’t Do It with videos.. I also have “Aura Baby ” and the FakeOne remix Featuring JHOOD formerly of DBLOCK on ITunes, Spotify, Shazam etc…

Probably Acting I have a thing for the Camera Naturally
