Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Marina Anghel: I grew up in Bucharest and I’m singing since I was 5. As a little child, I used to dance and take part in many artistic activity. I also was a member in one of the most known modern dancing school in Romania. My kindergarden teacher discovered my singing talent and adviced my parents to send me to canto lessons. That was the official start and became a neverending story.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Marina Anghel: This is my real name and I believe it fits perfectly as a stage name.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Marina Anghel: For now, I only sing covers, so online sharing is my chance to show people that I’m a part of this industry. Especially when you don’t earn your existence throw music, free sharing is an opportunity, but I am a militant of artists’ copyrights, all in all, of being remunerated for your work.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Marina Anghel: I am in this situation, so I’m looking forward for any gigs and tips.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Marina Anghel: I only write for myself. Never had the courage yet to show them to the world.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Marina Anghel: By now, I publish my songs on my official Facebook page, Marina Anghel, and on my Youtube channel, with the same name.

 

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Marina Anghel: Singing and investing in my one year later carrier.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Marina Anghel: As I told you, I go social on Facebook and Youtube, but I sing with any occasion, and feel proud when people react at my performances.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Marina Anghel: I started involving in Euroke, the first European Karaoke Championship as a former contestant and actual partner for Romania competition.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Marina Anghel: I have no idea, I’m only thinking at music. Hope never find out.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Marina Anghel: I’m 21, so now it’s easy. Try to keep it this way.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

Marina Anghel: Let fans show up J Seriously, I’m looking for my first own song. I’ll do everything I can to bring emotion to people.
