Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

i grew up in small town in Ghana called techiman. it was not easy growing up in a broken home and being taken care of by a single parent but at the age of eight to nine i realized i had interest in writing  rhymes and i could just be able to perform any song i loved singing in my class. that was it i started doing performances in school at programs and competitions. from there i never stopped for i had too much love for what i was doing and that is why i decided to keep doing music.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

yeah yeah the name Bizzy Brain. eeeerm in school, my mates were amazed at the many things i could do which which was singing, writing, drawing, acting, eating the books i mean learning and getting good grades. some started calling me bizzy minded and eventually turned into Bizzy Brain which means the brain is always busy with something. the inspiration…what made me choose the name is that it comes with this spirit a spirit of yes u can and it pushes you to always do something or create something new so i like it.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

yeah online sharing. i believe in one thing as i do this music and that is to always let my good work sell me. online sharing is helping me i would not be where i am now without it. sharing my music online is helping sell my good work. i give my music for free because i think a time will come that the guys who got my music for free will come to my concert one day because they know what they have heard and who they are going to watch. they that had my music for free yeterday will love my music and will love to see me tomorrow and they will be my fans forever.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

just be yourself, be natural, hit hard never give up that is very important. if you wanna get gigs share your work online and the nest thing you see you will be playing on bigger platforms.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

i gather my songwriting inspiration from everywhere basically observations and life experiences some times i even get inspiration from trees and birds. my usual songwriting process… i record whatever rhythm that pops into my head and when i get time to create i put more words in it to form a better song.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

hahahahah interesting. in africa expecially in ghana where i come from it is very hard trying to pop out as an artiste and for me the artiste Bizzy Brain, any money i get i make sure i put 30% of the money into helping young ones like me who are struggling to pop up as artistes  get to the point they would wanna be at least create a chance for them for example organize competitions and the best will win and the best will need to be supported. so that is what i will do with the money.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

online sharing like soundcloud and you tube works perfectly.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

im working on my new album THE ENTRANCE and an upcoming tour in my hometown in ghana.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

wow i love music but i would probably be acting or behind the camera directing films but i would still be in the entertainment industry.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

it has not been easy but by the grace of GOD i am doing it and i believe in where there is a way there is a way so that kips me going.
