Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I am from Sour Lake, Texas. I became an artist because I heard music on the radio that made me metaphorically vomit. It made me mad so I decided that I’ll make my own music. I grabbed a pen and a pad and wrote “Where I’ll Go”. People liked it so I decided to make a career out of rap.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Well since I was 8, every time I’d become excited, I would have a twitch like movement and act a little loco. I couldn’t think of a name right off the bat so my former friend suggested Lil Twitch but I later became Lil Twich.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Well ever since Mac Looper, DroCole and I created Mac Records, we’ve decided to be non profit until we had an official studio and building. However, when I 100% make the song, I try and make a little bit of money off of it.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Never cater to the haters. Let what they say about you fuel your drive for success.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

I get inspired when I think of what rap has become. It makes me a little mad and my anger drives my songwriting.
(to the other question) My usual process for songwriting is orange juice, finding a beat, feeling it well, writing the verses, and making a chorus that sounds good with the beat and lyrics.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

We have no website but we do have a Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

I would put the money towards the label. Build Mac Records. Use it to get new microphones and other musical accessories.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

I usually go around the block tellin people to listen to my track or I post on Twitter.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 I have my mixtape, The Lil Twich LP. I’m also helping DroCole produce his project, Gutta Plan EP.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 Football. I would want to be a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

I have a schedule of what I do. Around bed time I write. Before bedtime I do the usual things a high school student would do, homework, workout, and talk to my girlfriend.
