Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Jeramiah: I grew up in Detroit , MI in a very bad neighborhood and I’m still trying to get out of it but I work very hard on my music. I became a artist around the Summer of 2015 I always knew I was into music, so I started to do the thing I love.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Jeramiah: I came up with the name Dexter Jay because it’s where I grew up and I got Jay because my name is Jeramiah.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why

Jeramiah : Yes all my music is free because I don’t have a problem with it right now because I’m not really a big artist.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Jeramiah : I just want to tell everyone to work hard very hard even though I am still working my hardest everyday.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Jeramiah: For me it comes all from the head when I’m writing because I like to think of the very best words I can say.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Jeramiah: I use YouTube to share my music because a lot of people watches YouTube.
 

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Jeramiah: I would definitely save 250,000 and use the rest of the money very wisely.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Jeramiah : I usually share my music on lots of social media.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Jeramiah: I already dropped a EP , so I have a new mix tape coming out around June.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Jeramiah: I would be playing Basketball or a Photographer

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Jeramiah – I take care of everything else at a reasonable time because my music and schoolwork is very important

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Jeramiah: They should look forward to knowing me.
