Exposed Vocals Interviews Moe Rich

Moe Rich:  I was born in Trenton New Jersey moved to little rock Arkansas at age 1 with my mom and dad where I grew up then went to college in Oklahoma to play basketball so I’ve been on the road all my life. I’ve always had a passion and ear for music I was in the band from elementary through high school and I’ve lived and learned a lot and being an artist is a way I can tell my story.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Moe Rich:  My name is keemo Richardson, my friends and family always called me Mo and I’ve always had a work ethic and a desire to have lots of money hence the name, MOE (Money Over Everything) Rich instead of Mo Rich

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Moe Rich:  I like the online music sharing you can put your music in a place everybody can reach cause technology is the new wave. Also you get to see what other artists are coming up with cause no 2 artists are alike. I’m fine with giving my music away at the moment just to get my name out there

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Moe Rich: To new artist I say make yourself marketable whether it’s your style of music or swag, or drip, or sauce. Also, market yourself don’t wait for anybody else go after it

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Moe Rich:  I can think of songs about my everyday life as I’m doing what I write about, but visiting home (Little Rock, Arkansas) always inspires me because of all the trips down memory lane. The process of writing is not hard for me really all I have to do is find a nice instrumental (canvas) and paint the picture clear. Finding a canvas to paint has been the most difficult part for me which thats not really hard either

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Moe Rich:  Currently i post my music on sound cloud under the artist name Moe Rich (https://soundcloud.com/moerich) and use social media like facebook and instagram to share news about new music

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Moe Rich:  If I was given half a million dollars and a year off I’d like to get my own studio set up and travel for more inspiration to write music for the whole year. I also have some family and friends that I would like to help to see them doing better financially

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Moe Rich: I promote my music using social media, everyday conversations with new people, and my friends are like my street team they spread the word as well

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Moe Rich: Im hoping for 2 gigs in April, 1 in OKC a party type of gig and 1 in little rock Arkansas opening for the artist young thug if I can get the strings pulled

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Moe Rich: If I wasn’t making music I’d be working a full-time job and working to get my CDL so that I can drive trucks because I like being on the open road driving and listening to music

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Moe Rich:  I like being busy so I’m use to working a job and marketing my clothing line Rock Nation Gear as I work on my art and I keep people in my life that either motivate me or do the same thing I do

Moe Rich: In 2016 look out for my 1st mixtape Funky Conception 2 where I open up my world to the world!
