Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Riccardo: when I was 13 I decide to learn to play guitar. So, I played classic guitar and later electric and acoustic guitar. When I used Cubase for first time I’ve thinked: wow! It’s incredible. And today I played different genres and new instruments like ukulele and armonica.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Riccardo: It’s my name. I dont like strange or false name.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Riccardo: It is not easy to answer this question. Professional artists need to sell singles, albums; unlikely to earn only playing live . I shared some of my music for free to show what I was capable of doing. Share online music I think it’s an amazing way to get to know but on the long term I do not think is sustainable.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Riccardo: I do not think I can give advice. I do not hold concerts , I usually sound alone, and until recently, I did not listen to anyone what I recorded.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Riccardo: there is no single path to create something new. In general it always starts from the emotions.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Riccardo: No, I don’t have a band website. I share my music on Soundcloud. https://soundcloud.com/riccardo-monterisi
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Riccardo: If you had all that money , and a full year available to try to find a place to play and record and I’d run to buy instruments , amps, effects, and more. It would be for me the turning point needed.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Riccardo: right now I’m not thinking seriously because they are mostly committed to experiment and find a stretch in which stand out

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Riccardo: I’d like to write and have a library
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Riccardo: It is very difficult and often making music has to wait. However, the best incentive is to hear someone who appreciated what you have played.
